  • Can I reschedule my workshop?
    We do offer the option to reschedule your workshop. You can reschedule up to 48 hours prior to your workshop. No-shows will not be rescheduled and no refunds will be issued.
  • What if I am running late for my workshop? (copy)
    We do understand that life happens and we can run behind schedule. Out of respect for our clients, if you are more than 20 minutes late, we kindly ask that you reschedule your workshop. Please notify us if you need to reschedule. No-show clients that do not notify us prior to their workshop will be unable to reschedule. Workshops are non-refundable.
  • How long does a candle-making session last?
    Our candle-making workshops typically last about two (2) hours.
  • Q: What is included in the candle-making workshop at Black Phlox?
    A: Our candle-making workshop at Black Phlox Candles is designed to provide a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for participants of all skill levels, whether you are a beginner or an expert. The workshop includes all the materials and tools necessary to create your own beautiful candle. You will receive hands-on guidance from an experienced instructor who will walk you through each step of the candle-making process. Your handmade candle comes in varying styles and sizes, allowing for personal creativity and preference. For those interested in creating larger volume candles, we offer an upgrade option for an additional charge. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a unique, high-quality candle and the knowledge and skills to make more candles on your own. We encourage you to book your spot today and enjoy a fun, educational, and creatively fulfilling experience at Black Phlox.
  • What types of wax does Black Phlox use for candle making?
    At Black Phlox we pride ourselves on a variation of wax choices. From 100% organic soy to coconut blends and much more!
  • Do candles lose smell if it sits too long?
    Most candles will not lose their scent if left untouched for a long period of time. Actually, the longer they cure or are left in a warm, dry place, away from direct sunlight, the better the scent or scent throw.
  • How long will it take to receive my candle?
    Your item will usually be shipped within 7-10 business days to ship and you should receive your package within 2-3 business days, depending on your zip code.
  • When can I take my candle home after the workshop?
    Candles typically need to dry for at least two hours before they are safe to transport. Guests are encouraged to return during normal business hours to pick up their candle.
  • How long does a perfume-making workshop last?
    Our perfume-making workshops typically last between 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • What comes with a perfume-making workshop?
    Our perfume-making workshop includes a 30ml bottle of a handcrafted fragrance created by you. Larger bottles are available at an additional charge.
  • Will my fragrance last all day?
    Our perfume/colognes are the strength of an eau de parfum.
  • Do you offer refunds/exchanges?
    If you are not satisfied or happy with your purchase, we will definitely work with you to resolve the issue. Please contact us at info@blackphlox.com. Workshops are 100% non-refundable.
  • Can I cancel my workshop?
    You are welcome to reschedule your workshop up to 48 hours prior to your session. All workshops are non-refundable.
  • Are the materials skin safe?
    All of our fragrances have an IFRA rating from the original manufacturer. Please see ifrafragrance.org for more detailed information. Feel free to reach out to our customer service department for specific information regarding one of our ingredients or scents. https://ifrafragrance.org/
  • How do I upgrade my services?
    Great question! Customers may upgrade vessels and services up to 3 business days before their event. All customers must use the same style of vessel.
  • Is there an age requirement to particpate in the Black Phlox experience?
    Due to the nature of these products and for safety of all participants, Black Phlox does not hold parties with participants under the age of 12. Proper identification may be required.
  • Does Black Phlox observe COVID-19 regulations?
    Yes, we pride ourselves on safety first. All partiicpants must practice local, state, and federal regulations including social distancing, when applicable. - Heightened cleaning protocol. We frequently sanitize common surfaces. Social distancing. Establish practices to encourage social distancing. This may include limiting the number of participants allowed to participate at one time. Change operations. Look for ways to minimize social interaction. E.g., curb-side pick-up, new technologies, reconfiguring lay-outs, or discontinuing certain practices. -We consitiently train employees on best practices. Make sure your employees are washing their hands and understand other protocols you are putting in place to minimize risks. -Requiring face masks. Based on local and state ordinances, we may require patrons and employees to wear masks. This is especially good idea if social distancing is difficult. -Taking temperatures. This is permissible, as long as it is done for all participants.
  • When will I be charged for my purchase?
    Your credit/debit card will be charged at the time of purchase.
  • Do you offer International shipping?
    Unfortunately, we do not offer international shipping. We currently only ship within the United States.
  • Do you have a Customer service department?
    Of course! Any questions, comments, or concerns can be addressed by simply contacting us at info@blackphlox.com.
  • Do you offer shipping as a gift?
    We do offer gift shipping and will include a personalized note from the sender. You will have the option to send as a gift at checkout.
  • Can I track my order?
    Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking information.
  • What if my products arrived damaged or broken?
    We do understand that accidents can happen during the shipment process. If your candle arrives damaged or broken, a claim must be filed with the USPS prior to a replacement being sent. Please send proof of damage to info@blackphlox.com. Black Phlox is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. You will need to file a claim with the USPS.
